Friction

Friction is what stops you from slipping.  For example there is a car driving down the road and oil gets spilled on the road.  The next car that drives through it slips on the oil and crashes.  Oil is slippery and makes less friction.  Next it starts raining.  A car drives by and he goes on the wet oil.  Kapow.  He crashes.  An example of something with more friction is a road without oil or water.
There is friction under water.  It is hard to move through water because of the water friction.
Lizards use friction on the bottom of their feet to walk on slippery surfaces.

  1. I did not know that about lizards. Interesting how God created them to have friction. It can also be dangerous to drive when there's lots of water on the road, especially when it collects in large grooves on the highway.
