We found a cat and named it kitty. It was really cute. We had him for 2 days. We put up posters and that night the lady who owned the cat came over to pick him up. His name was actually Batman.

The Play

For school I made a card for musical theater. I also made hot chocolate mix with a candy cane. That night we did a play called Christmas in Egypt I was child#1 It was fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Diary of a wimpy kid is a funny series. there are books ,audiobooks and movies. It is about a kid who thinks his life is a big dump.  All these funny things happen to him and his brothers Manny and Roderick.  I think that the first book is the funniest.

Friends

Me and my friend Moriah are going to wear the exact same clothes. We are going to wear a rainbow heart shirt, jeans and knee high boots. Me, Aimee and Moriah are best friends. It all started at Davidson Orchards.  Me and Junie were playing and then we asked a girl if she wanted to play with us. We didn't think would ever see her again but it turns out she is in community class with me. Moriah was new, so i made friends with her and now we are best friends.

What happened to Summer?

Where did summer go?  The leaves are all changing colour.  There are red, orange and brown all around.  Most leaves are still green though.  Mommy got these fall peppers that are supposed to be red and orange but some are super dark red and green and purple.  I don't think they're very fallish.  We pressed leaves with an iron for the table and we made leaf pictures.

Old Friends and New Friends

Ash and Juni came to visit.  We went on a field trip to Davison Orchards.  I met a girl and it turns out that she is in my community class and my musical theatre.  In musical theatre we are doing a play called Christmas in Egypt.  It is very fun.  If anyone who reads this comes, I can sing you what I know. 

 Grandma is moving here!  She'll be here next month.  We can see her almost every day now.  We can go to her house, she can come here and we can have playdates and sleep overs.

Amelia Earhart

Amelia Earhart was the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic.  Then she wanted to try going around the world so she started off from her hometown in Miami, Florida.  She would land on Howland Island.  Sometimes she would take stops in places like Calcutta India. Amelia was only a few miles away from Howland Island when everything started to go crazy.  She lost contact and started going down.  At least that is what some people think.
 Nobody actually knows what happened.  Some think that she was captured by the Chinese and there is proof.  A young man was hunting on one of the Chinese islands and found her briefcase with all of her information and passports.  He handed it in to a man, never to be seen again.  Some people think that she survived and went back to America disguised as someone else.  There is proof for that too.  An elderly woman was noticed looking exactly like Amelia Earhart.  Everything was the same.  Same nose shape, mouth, tear duct size and everything.  When they put pictures of her on top of pictures of Amelia, they are a perfect match.  When they asked her to do fingerprints and tests, she immediately declined and said that she was not Amelia Earhart.  Some people think she didn't want the fingerprints because she didn't want the fame.
Another theory is that she ran out of fuel and crashed into the ocean but there are no traces found.
Before Amelia's flight she joked, "find me if you can".  Some people wonder if this was a joke at all.
People have started to find things that belonged to Amelia on beaches.
I like Amelia a lot.  She is so mysterious how nobody has figured out what happened to her.  It is mysterious and creepy at the same time.  Find out more next time on Miky's Mysteries.......

Why the Nile Floods-A Myth

There is one question that people used to ask about the Nile. 

 Why does it flood at the same time every year? 

 A Myth

The nile floods every year because of a man.  One day Malachi Mazoovius was walking down the road to get some potatoes for his mother's stew.  Along the way he saw a cheese stand and so he decided to get some cheese too.  As he walked a little farther he saw an onion stand so he got some onion and garlic.  He walked a little bit farther and he saw a tomato stand so he got some tomatoes.  Suddenly, he realized he had to get the potatoes so he hurried on.  He finally found the potato stand but beside it was a stand that had lettuce so he bought some.  All of a sudden he realized he was out of money and couldn't buy the potatoes.  He brought what he had back to his mother for the stew.  She was furious when she found out that he hadn't got the potatoes but she would have to make do with what she had.  She made a stew.  When she tasted it, she immediately knew that it was so bad that she could not use it.  Sadly, she threw it into the river.  All of a sudden the river started overflowing.  She had put too much stew in the river.  Because of her clumsy son now every time the river overflows it's because he decides to go and get some potatoes for his mother's stew.

Edge of Extinction (code name flood)

Edge of Extinction is a really good book. It is about Sky Mundy. When her dad (Jack Mundy) goes missing, she devotes her life to finding him.   There was a gigantic problem.  There were dinosaurs.  Sky had heard that if you're top side for less than an hour, you're most likely dead.  On her 12th birthday, her friend Shawn Riley opened up her dad's compass and there was a note inside.  He had actually left her something, a map and a note.  Despite what she had heard, she travelled topside.  A few days later she met a boy named Todd, and his village.  That's all I'll say so I don't give the rest of the book away.

A Trail of Broken Dreams

    I read, "Dear Canada: A Trail of Broken Dreams, The Gold Rush Diary of Harriet Palmer."  It all started when Harriet's mother died.  The father had gone to the gold fields so most people that they were orphaned. But of course, they were not because their father was still alive.  Then a horrible woman, named Mrs. Owen took over.  She was so horrible to Harriet and her little sister and brother.  She decided that she needed to find her father.  She dressed up like a boy in William, her younger brother's clothes.  An Indian woman that they knew in the fort brought her some buffalo skin and pemican.  They traveled for days and days and the she met some boys named Talbot, Henry and his brother Joe.  Joe was annoying but once he got to know Henry he wasn't bad.  Talbot was a good friend.  Soon, after Talbot learned she was a girl, she found the gold rush.  She found her father.  They came home with much gold.

     I thought it was a cool story.  My favourite part was at the end was when John Boyd got a certificate for $5 but now days that would be a lot of money!  I learned that the gold rush was a hard time.  They had to travel for hundreds of miles to get to the Cariboo.  Some had the advantage of living in the Cariboo.  That is why I liked this book.

Lemonade Stand

We had a lemonade stand.   There were cookies and lemonade.  Ashlynn and Juniper came over.  Emily and Avery came over to buy some stuff.  It was funny because Emily was just grabbing a cookie, then putting in money, rapidly.  It was so much fun.  We each got $2.50.  I tried to teach Avery to crochet but because they had to leave, she decided to play with their Gramma's dog, who they were watching.  Me and Juniper crocheted for most of the time.  Caileigh played with Ashlynn's hair and her Monster Loom.  Our friend, who lives next door, named Clyde came over.  

Fun in the Really Hot Sun

We went to the Maljaars.  They had some really cute kittens.  One was named Tiger Lily.  One was named Blizzard.  Tiger lily was grey with black stripes.  Blizzard was all white with a hint of grey on some spots.  She had big blue eyes.  They seemed to be staring into my soul itself.  Their mom's name was Momma Mia.  The big sister's name was puff.  That's Irelyn's cat.  They also had baby cows that were so cute.  There is a cow named Jade that is still fat but it had already had it's calf.  After that when we came home, we had a campfire.  For a surprise, Ashlynn and Juniper came over.  It was so fun!  We had a million thousand marshmallows.  We each had one hot dog.  I had another weiner.  We got lemonade, cantaloupe, tortilla chips, salt and vinegar chips, and veggies.

Easter

Easter means a lot.  It means Jesus died and Jesus rose.  It is not just chocolate bunnies, marshmallow chicks and jelly beans.  Without Jesus we would not be able to go to heaven.  Nobody is perfect.

Birthday Party

We went to a party.  It was Austin and Paisley's party.  It was fun.   Me and my friend Juniper played orphans.  My other friend Ashlynn puked 3 times. We are also going to the Wells today!

we are moving to a place called Kelowna.   There is an indoor water park and a pool.  And in the summer there is a floating castle in the lake.

Unsafe Substances

Drugs, alcohol and poisons can kill you.  You can stay away from them by saying, "No". It's always ok to say no.  I could talk to Mommy, the Dr. or Caileigh.  Taking them can change your life in a bad way.  For example, you could be thinking it is a nice day and then you take bad drugs.  A couple of days later you start to hate your day and think everyone and everything is awful.  It changes the way you see the world.  If you ever see someone using them, talk to them.  Remember, it's always ok to say no.

Belief Perspectives

World View
The worldview of a christian is thinking, loving and caring for people.  A non-christian worldview is thinking more about themselves and taking things for themselves.  It isn't always true but it happens with a lot of people.
Experience changes perspective
In the Trolls movie a troll named Branch lost his grandmother because of his singing.  He liked to sing but he was singing too loud.  A bergin heard him and came to get him but his grandma pushed him out of the way so she got taken.  The experience changed his perspective and he turned black and grey and he was sadder and he didn't sing ever again.

Health

I get exercise by running and biking. It can be hard to run and bike in the winter with the snows in the winter I sled.
I make good healthy food choices because my mom makes me healthy food.  We eat all the food groups every day.  When we travel we can eat healthy by bringing good food from home.  We only eat out a few times a year.
I think I'm healthy because I brush my teeth and eat healthy foods.  I get exercise regularly and sleep well at night.  

Fun 2 Draw

Fun 2 draw is an online drawing class.  It can make you a better artist.  Amazingly, the teacher Mei Yu , inspires and encourages you through step by step drawings.  She is a good teacher. I love using Fun

Wonderful Exercise

I took a writing class with Mrs. Mackesy.  She taught us how to write a good paragraph.  I need to remember to use an outline, then add the dress ups and then edit.  You can also add a graphic.
Here is mine on exercise......

Exercise is truly helpful to your body.  Exercise can burn off fat. When you use a running bike, exercise can be exciting.   Slowly, exercise helps you grow stronger.  Exercise is important.

Friction

Friction is what stops you from slipping.  For example there is a car driving down the road and oil gets spilled on the road.  The next car that drives through it slips on the oil and crashes.  Oil is slippery and makes less friction.  Next it starts raining.  A car drives by and he goes on the wet oil.  Kapow.  He crashes.  An example of something with more friction is a road without oil or water.
There is friction under water.  It is hard to move through water because of the water friction.
Lizards use friction on the bottom of their feet to walk on slippery surfaces.

Kamloops

We went to the new movie called, Sing.  It was great.  It was about a koala who loved a theater so when he was older his Dad bought it for him but then his mother and father died.  He was left to keep it going.  He did a singing contest but the flyers accidentally wrote, $100,000 instead of $100.  All the good singers entered.  Some of them got to stay in and some got x'd out.  There was an elephant girl who was great at singing but the koala wouldn't let her sing.  The building fell down!  They rebuilt it. A rich woman named Nana came and thought the show was really good so she bought the theater and made it good again.  The koala was happy and so was everyone else.

We stayed at a really cool hotel.  We stayed in a different room then we normally stay in.  The girls stayed in a different room than the boys and that was fun.  In this picture we are hanging from the trolley.

This is me and Caileigh in our separate room.  We had just arrived.  It's a long drive from where we live to Kamloops.  It's two hours!

This is us at The White Spot.  I'm scrunched up in the corner because I was sick.  When we got to the hotel, Mommy checked my fever and I was sick.

This is me at the science centre and as you can see, someone chopped off my head!  But where's the blood?  Oh My!

This is me touching a lizzard named Duke.  It was really scaly and weird feeling.  I only touched it for a couple of seconds and then I went to do something else.  My favourite thing at the science centre was a pokey thing where you could poke it and things come out the other side.  The part I hated was the dark room because I felt a shock from the plasma ball.  It hurt!

Time Machine

   In 2020 there were two robotic dogs named Hammy and Chloe.  In some ways they were a lot like humans.  Like us, they wore clothes.  Like us, they ate food.  They drove flying cars and hover boards.  One day they found weird glasses.
"Look!", said Chloe.
"What is it Chloe?" asked Hammy.
"Look!  Glasses!" shouted Chloe.
Hammy picked them up and put them on.
"Wow!", exclaimed Hammy.
"What?" said Chloe.
"I can see a time machine!" said Hammy.
"Let me see!"
Hammy gave her the glasses.  She put the on.  "Wow!  I see it too.  Let's go!"
They ran to the time machine.  They found the button that made it invisible and pressed it but all of a sudden they disappeared.  The wind started howling, then whoosh, they were gone!

"Where are we?" asked Chloe.
"I don't know?"
"Captain, there's a iceberg on the port side" said the sea mate.
"What?" asked Hammy.
"You're the captain, are you not?", said the sea mate.
"Well, yes, I guess so", said Hammy.
"Hammy, what were you thinking saying that you're the captain?!" said Chloe.
"Chloe, we're on the titanic!" exclaimed Hammy.
"What?!" said Chloe.  "Are you thinking we can change history?"
"Yes, Look!  There is the iceberg.  Let's steer clear." says Hammy.  "Aaaaaaand, there we go."
Chloe says, "Yes we did it!"

All of a sudden the dogs found themselves back home.  The glasses fell off Chloe's head and smashed.  They broke into a million pieces.  After that adventure, they never saw a time machine again.

Pekoe The Birthday Fish

Once upon a time it was my birthday.  On my birthday, I went out with my Mom.  Just me and my Mom.  Then my mom said, "This might sound a little weird, but do you want a fish?"  I said, " Yes I do want a fish!"  And so we did.  It was my very own birthday fish and I made it Pekoe because I asked people at a coffee shop what they thought it should be named and then I looked up and I saw the on the board they sold Orange Pekoe tea.  I thought it was a good name and that is how Pekoe came to be.  I have to feed Pekoe every day.  It's not a big job.
